another picture update

Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks. Enjoy...

Nolan recently got a jumper/exersaucer to play in. He is still a little too short, but he likes hanging in it and playing with the fun toys. He learned how to press the buttons on the piano and loves to listen to the music and watch the colors.

Ali and Nolan

Nolan and Ali have ignored each other for most of the time Nolan has been with us. They are starting to notice each other more and Ali has been dropping by to kiss Nolan on occasion. We can't tell if they like each other yet, but they seem to be off to a good start.

Football Fan

Football season is finally here and Nolan is a great fan already! Hopefully he will bring the Packers and the Bulldogs some luck this year.

Picture Update!

4 Months Old

Nolan turned 4 months old on September 10!

He had his 4 month check-up on September 20. He is completely healthy and developing on schedule. Here are the numbers:

Length 25 1/4 inches (54 percentile)
Weight 15 lbs 4 oz (49 percentile)

A "Great" Visit

Nolan's Great Aunt Marlynn and Uncle Ken joined us for the first Bulldogs game of the season. Grandpa and Grandma Linda joined us and we all had a great time together.

Nolan looked like a true fan in the onesie Grandma Linda made for him and the Dawgs pulled out a big win to start off the season.

Crib Conversion

Nolan recently started sleeping in his room. It was bittersweet for us as we got used to being able to lean over and check on him through the night.

The camera we installed makes checking on him easy, though. It has night vision and we can always make sure he's safe and cozy at any time. He is doing a great job sleeping on his own and everyone is sleeping much better!

Making New Friends

Our friend Elisabeth stopped by for a visit and brought her daughter, Catherine. Catherine and Nolan are just a few weeks apart in age and they had a good time hanging out (when they weren't sleeping).

Picture Update

3 Months Old

On August 10th Nolan turned 3 months old. We cannot believe how much he has grown! We had to say goodbye to all of his newborn clothes and promote his 3 month old outfits.

Nolan's personality is showing more and more every day and he's always picking up new skills. He got a new Bumbo chair to practice his latest development - holding his head up while sitting.

Skyping with Gramma

Nolan's Gramma Diane lives in Wisconsin, so we keep in touch via Skype. Nolan and Gramma had a great session last Friday. Emails and pictures are great, but we always enjoy hearing her voice and catching up!

"Handy" Man

Nolan recently discovered his hands. He loves them! He puts them in front of his face and stares at them for long periods of time. Also, his fingers have replaced his pacifier (not his thumb, his whole hand).

Grandpa on Duty

Aaron and I wanted to spend an afternoon on the lake before the end of the summer, so Grandpa and Grandma Jones graciously volunteered to spend the day with Nolan. Everyone was all smiles before we left and we knew Nolan was going to have a wonderful time!
